Salvador Re-Ups in Jersey

The New Jersey Devils saved one of their defensemen from unrestricted free agency, an hour and 40 minutes away from the frenzy dam opening. Bryce Salvador, acquired from the Blues this season, signed a 4-year deal worth $11.6 million.

Salvador, 32, isn't one of the more keen pool defensemen, scoring a goal and adding 10 assists during the year in only 64 games. He does, however, fit the mould of the Devils, giving Martin Brodeur some added defense to help him win games, which he did 44 times last season.

The Devils, according to the list above, now have 19 players at a miniscule $44.9 million. They are a long ways to make the cap ceiling at $56.7 million for only 3 active players.
